In 2018 Hive Audio starts with a new vinyl series. which comes as a quarterly series of high quality 12inches releases which are about to cater a selection of tracks easily to be identified as the most outstanding work of one specific artist from the label. We are proud to start off our first release HAV001 with Manuel Morenos single >Timeless< on which the Swiss artist is working solo as well as a remixer and producer alongside vocalist Natasha Waters. The four tracks on >Timeless< have only been available on the digital circuit previously and have now been carefully picked as a focus on Manuel Morenos past musical work for vinyl DJs and collectors alike. 180g / Fullcover / Shrinked
The A1 opening position on „Timeless“ is taken over by „Ghost“, a collaborational studio effort created by Manuel Moreno and Natasha Waters who, together, are creating a deep, atmospheric take on pumping, masterly crafted TechHouse graced by powerful, intense vocals perfectly fitted into the mix, surely making this one of the early stand out tunes of this year for sure.
With „Drunken Butterfly“ on A2 Mr. Manuel Moreno is presenting a playful, yet muscular TechHouse tune based upon an ethereal, floating and ever repeating motif accompanied by beautiful, echoeing piano chords and climaxing, slowly morphing string layers leading into a touching main melody that reaches deep into the inner spheres of every dancers heart,.
Flipping the wax we've got „Under Your Skin“ on B1, another Manuel Moreno solo joint which showcases a more functional, peaktime-oriented side of his work. Atmospheric still and sporting some surprisingly blues-y lyrics this one makes a unique and surely sexy weapon for the darker hours of late night underground clubbing.
Finally „Left“ sees Manuel Moreno on a remix tip for a conjunctional tune created by Kaltehand and Natasha Waters, fusing clean cut, slightly Tribal-infused House music, melancholic piano notes and – once again – an outstanding vocal performance to great effect, creating a perfect closing tune for emotional sunrise sets that is about to last way longer than only one season.
